München erreicht ein „überdurchschnittliches“ Gesamtergebnis. Die Stadt schneidet besonders gut im Bereich Energie ab – sowohl beim Verbrauch pro Kopf als auch pro Euro BIP. München verfügt zudem über das bundesweit am besten ausgebaute Radwegenetz und den höchsten Anteil an Bürgern, die mit Bus und Bahn zur Arbeit pendeln. Als wirtschaftliches Zentrum Süddeutschlands mit einem Pro-Kopf-BIP von 49.000 Euro gehört München zu den wohlhabenderen Städten und ist mit 1,4 Millionen Einwohnern die drittgrößte Stadt Deutschlands.

Munich ranks above average overall. The city scores particularly well in the energy area – both in terms of per capita consumption and per Euro GDP. Munich also has the country’s densest network of bicycle paths and outpaces all other German cities in the percentage of residents who travel to work by bus or rail. With a per capita GDP of €49,000, Munich is the economic hub of southern Germany and one of the country’s more prosperous cities. With 1.4 million inhabitants, it is also the country’s third-largest urban center.
